After being stranded for a 2nd time due to no one in the entire state selling tires for the crossfire i'm deciding whether or not to sell the vehicle. It's a great car, but if tire avaiability is so limited, I would be afraid to drive any long distance in it. but before that happens I have some questions, one of which is...

I'm wondering if any of you have ever changed rims and put "regular" tires on the crossfire, IE. non-runflat tires. There aren't any chrysler dealers with speed shops that sell these items yet, or even have them in stock. My dealer is extremely old school when it comes to service. They won't sell tires and told me to consult the yellow pages the first time this happened back in October of '03.

The best times I've been given for having tires shipped has varied from 2 days to 1 week.

I'm sure it would kill some of the sporty look, but perhaps there is a tire/rim combo that doesn't look too bad.

And oh, for the guys that ask about which number crossfire this is, it's #791 graphite.
