Thanks for the awesome info Shade! I just managed to swap the chip between my old beat-to-hell remote and a brand spanking new (prolly used) ebay fob. It starts my car just fine, which is sweet.

Unfortunately, I can't get it to lock/unlock the doors via remote. I've tried the "insert key in ignition, press lock twice and turn key to ON position". I didn't work.

Any ideas?
