Maxwell, yeah, that's what I figured (& I won't be taking it back to the dealership for work. Not that they're bad, they just charge too darn much) but, on the other hand, I'd hate to stick the new pads on only to have them beat-to-death within several months. And, like you mentioned, the rear brakes aren't the primaries! The service manager mentioned that the pits are deep & that grinding the rotor would probably trash it.
Decisions, decisions........
I think I'll go for a second opinion.
