Had my Xfire serviced at the dealer today. Just the normal stuff, state inspection, head light replacement, seat heater replacement, LOF.
They put in an AC-DELCO PF2247G cellulose oil filter for $17.77.

I bought the real fleece filter for $18 from an MB parts site.

My question is, can I replace the oil filter without draining the oil?
Looks like the filter is at about the highest point on the engine, so I think so, but would like some input before I make a mess of my driveway.

I have a top-sider just in case.
