Actually, no your are not. I too do not like the chirp but it is nice to know the option is there if we really want it. A price on the part would be helpful for those interested.
The lights flashing are good enough for me and should I not be able to find my car in a parking lot - I use the panic feature and the Crossfire's Siren is pretty unique.
