Default Re: Factory Alarm Chirp! Solved! Read!!!

Yeah, sorry for postint this in a lot of places, I just figured that since EVERYBODY wanted this, this would be the best way to get everyones attention. I noticed that they do both say Bosch on them, I didn't notice it on the bottom of the old one. I don't have a sound clip, but it is a faint beep that you can hear when near the car. it is the same volume as other Mercedes chirps, but a different tone and slightly (very slightly) longer. Also, it only chirps during the arm or disarm, meaning if you press lock, it chirps 3 times, and if you press lock again, it does not chirp again. Same with unlock. As for the price, Dealers are selling them around $70, but they sell them to body shops around $55, so they can discount if you push them. As for the Radio Shack parts, if it works, great. It's definitly a cheaper alternative. I'm very comfortable modifying cars to my liking, especially with electronics, but at the same time, I want that factory look and feel whenever possible, and for less than $60, I don't ming buying a factory part to get what I want. I even bought the little damper in the glove box since my base didn't came with it.
