alright, traced my cooling problem down to the fan relay. To hell with dealer 94$ diagnostic fees. Just cut a speaker wire in half and used the 4 ends (positive to positive, neg to neg)to check for connectivity and see if the fan is working. which is was.
DAMN YOU MERCEDES BENZ for making such complicated relays!!! or as they like to call them, "auxilliary fan control modules". Ironically, on the the old MBs and BMWs, you could always switch a broken relay with chrysler relays, since they were almost identical, as long as you know which wire goes where. Now...
its like a 150$ part...when a normal relay should be like 50$ MAX. damn. To make matters worse, neither the chrysler nor the MB dealerships have them in stock. And i have a club cruise this weekend. I might end up making a halfass switch for like 10$ and run the wires through that. ON/OFF. 2 settings
