Hello.....long time lurker, first time poster. I'm in the process of negotiating on an '05 SRT6 coupe in black with approx 35K miles on it. The private party seller is asking almost $19K for this car and bought it about a year ago. He has used it as his daily driver so the majority of the miles are 'highway' miles but it is the highest mileage one I have run across in my search (and also the least expensive b/c of that). My questions are....
1) Is there a mileage cap where the potential resale bottom drops out on these cars, or have these cars already pretty much stabilized in the high teens/low twenties price range?
2) Considering the current mileage, is there any expensive service requirements upcoming? I'm already aware of the near $100.00 oil changes.
3) Does that sound like a good deal on this particular car considering the two owers and mileage? The rear tires were recently replaced by high performance Yokahamas, but the fronts are still the Crapstones...so I would replace them upon purchasing.
4) Is there anything else I should look for or be particularly aware of with a car with this mileage on it?
As I finished typing all of this I'm struck by how I, and presumably many others, consider a three year old car with 35K miles on it to be high mileage...haha.
