I bought mine in Ohio 2000 miles from home . Everyone wants to live in places like Montana until you want something that falls under specialty car or rare Europian.
Transporters are getting expensive!
has been worth every penny

[ it's don't plan on making money on even the best collectables.
well said Montana.
I don't think anyone would do well to buy an XFire for a "collector" resale benefit. They are rare, cool cars but unlikely to be Gullwing SL300's. Buy a new one, pack it up in Cosmoline, and your kids might get most of it back at Barrat Jacksons in 20 years. If they are lucky
That's what makes them really good daily drivers. Milage is not an issue. The intrinsic value of the car is constant and you don't have the catastrophic depreciation of a similar Benz product. A 2001 SLK 320 stickered over $65K and fetches only $18K to $20K today. Very few will ever go for more ten years from now.
And then there is the Jag story. I can't figure how monthly payments would keep up with deprciation on one of those.

There's a good post out here about extended warranties... If this car is clean, and you like what you see, go for it.
Look for someone that will work with you on your trade in.

Franc, I wish I had packed my '69 Z 28 away, and took it to Barrett/Jackson...gave 2800 for it, what are they now, so you just never know...my little blk rdsr srt just might make me some money some day...then maybe not, but it is fun either way....Doc
