I just had the exact same thing happen to me, and my oil had been changed about 3000 miles ago as well. My oil level does seem high, but shouldn't it just burn off if there's too much? Now my Check Engine light is on (about a week later). I don't even want to take the car back to the dealer because I dropped nearly a grand on it last time it was there. Only thing I want to drop now is a tree on the car...
