I gave him the option to pay for the new part, take both thermostats to the mechanic, have one installed and the other fixed, send it back, and receive a refund. He said "it's ok just forget about it." We would have covered the 2.17 he paid to ship it. That was never an issue.
But we can not accept a part that was broken for no reason.
Lets clarify it further. You told me "it wasn't broken" but that you need a "special tool to get it back together." You said it yourself that it was not broken, so don't come on here and change your story. You sent the wrong part and cost me more money in the install than th darn part costs genious. I didn't ask you for anything, but I was expecting to get another thermostat without having to pay for it twice. I sent you a note saying if the part was broken I'd pay for another, but your exact words were "you need a special tool to put it back together." Its broken now that I've called you out on the forum? Right
