From a business trategy/customer service standpoint, TVT has signed their own death warrant. I understand why some people point their finger at the mechanic, but in court, TVT would be ultimately responsible for:
1. Replacing the part
2. Accepting the damaged part (Mechanic acted in good faith.)
3. Paying the mechanic the labor to try again.
4. All shipping.
I am glad that you are learning this stuff in school. What exists in academia and the minds of the teachers often does not translate into real life.
P.S. I really do not want to get into a pissing contest. I was just giving a very experienced real world opinion.
