EASY! This is paying respect to the factory light weight cars of the 70's. Not just something to "look cool and get attention". No other car company has the race history and records that Porsche does. This was WAY cool. But then again, the same body lines have been there for 60 years now. The pictures below are from a 1972 911 RSR and a 2004 RS.
