I'm not 100% sure but my two Benz sedans "adjust" to how I drive. I believe the Xfire does the same.
This car is a Benz and as such the computer will adjust to respond to your driving style. Especially the automatic trans.
Even if it were not so, driving the cars gently, keeping the revs below 4000 means that if you ever let loose and get on it, you are asking for trouble. It's old school thinking but I believe it.
I broke mine in gradually running the revs up to red line at least once every 100 miles or so. And although the experts say you don't have to do it any more, I changed the "break in " oil at 1000 miles. First time it cost me 100 bucks to change my oil but no way I'm screwing this baby up.
And now with confidence, I run thru the gears HARD and work the car like a redheaded step child. Laughing the whole time.
