This was on the Sawgrass an eight lane extention of I 75.
As I was passing him he looked over at me as if to say you can't pass me. I continued at the same speed and this young kid decided he was going to keep up with me and then pass me. There were a couple of cars in front of him so he couldn't pass me. I stayed in the right lane and I think he thought that he was going to show the older guy, me, that he had a fast car. Other then a larger exhaust I had no idea what kind of mods he had on the car.
As he was coming up on me I increased my speed slightly and he moved to the center lane and floored his little s2000. I let him get even with me and the kid in me just couldn't resist and I floored the SRT. I would have liked to have seen his mouth drop as I just opened up the distance between us. I took the car up to 135-140 then slowed back down to 85/90 and cruising speed. Low and behold there he was again. Dejavu. This time I only went up to 125 just to prove a point to him that he did not have enough car to keep up or stay with the SRT at that speed. I love that warp speed button under the pedal. Slight perma-grin
Can't wait till the 181 pulley parts get here. I sure am glad I have a clean driving record, cause the first time I get a speeding ticket, it is going to be ugly. Oh, by the way I did use my blinkers whenever I changed lanes, which wasn't very often at 120 plus. I am not sure I could have heard the radar detector at 140 in the roadster with the top up. Not that it would have helped.
The XF runs so smooooooth at high speeds.
