I paid more to insure my 1990 Corvette than I do for my 2005 XFire. I was surprised to see my bill go down by $35 when I traded the Vette in last February. Your best bet is to ask the insurance company if you have to pay a premium for a higher horse power model. I think some insurance companies think that the Crossfire is just another Chrysler and not the true sports car it really is. I would guess they don't have a lot of Crossfires stolen as compared to a car like a Corvette.
