Ok, I picked up my SRT from Pro performance this afternoon. They said it took a bit more time then they expected to put on all the pullies. The mechanic had taken a drive in my xf yesterday and today after I returned from the miami 6 block run, he zipped out of the parking lot and it even sounded faster. He was pretty impressed with increase off the line. He kept the tc on.
I found that the initial pull was much better. The tc kept coming on since the tires were trying to spin. I turned that puppy off and the car grabbed pretty well, but I could spin the wheels for 20 feet or so with out any problem. I did not force the issue. I was is test mode. Zoom, zoom zoom..........opps !!!!! Wrong commercial.
Micheal, the mechanic,and I discussed future changes.
1. CAI
2. ECU reflashing or remapping
3. Stainless exhaust
He thinks that should increase the hp to over 400. Sounds good. LOL Don't ask if that's to the wheels about dyno ect ect ect. I am not a car guru, but I do like to go fast in a controlled manner.
Hopefully, LET will come out with a CAI and we will be able to keep the SRT engine cover and increase the hp and reduce the temperature equally to the competitors.
I might have to get a job that pays.
