Default First long road trip

I just got back from my first "long" XF road trip. A few things that I have noticed:

1) Got pretty good gas mileage overall (28, going 72-79 on the interstate).
2) The car seems to have a LOT more power at lower altitudes. My house = 6,000ft, Topeka, KS = 900ft.
3) My butt needs to get used to the seat for longer trips. It feels like there is a bar on the right side of the driver's seat that seems to "dig in" and trigger a muscle cramp. Anyone else experience this?
