Several years ago, on NB I-75 north of Grayling, Michigan heading up skiing in the '03 Jetta turbo I had then. It was dusk and I was rolling 90, anxious to get the party started. Came up over a hill, running at the front of a pack and the detector went wild and he had me dead nuts. I don't know what came over me but I figured it would take him a few to be able to pull out in traffic, and get ramped up to speed, and I knew there was an exit about a mile ahead. I pegged it, hit the exit, went down the road about 100 yards, did a handbrake bat turn as he came roaring off the interstate. Lights blazing he tore towards me and continued to blast done the road in the opposite direction. I gently got back on I-75 and blended into traffic. It scared the devil out of me, and to this day I have no idea why I did that or even how I got out of it but I have never done that again.
