It seems that the C/holders where fitted to the early UK cars (53/04/54 reg) but after that they seemed to have been replaced by the plastic bin, which Im not fond of.
The USA LTD versions continued with the C/holder as standard.
It took about 15 mins to fit it; the centre console had to come out, which it does quite easily once you know where the 4 screws are located, remove the rubber cover on the parking brake lever, and lift it out. No need to disconect any wires/switches, as there's plenty of spare length on the wires to lift the cosole clear.
