I suggest you go back and read his post.... he copped to "a little over 65" but not 88. I never got the impression he was running from his responsibility, but rather contesting what the cop said and commenting on the cop's clearly inappropriate behavior. Now if he was going 88 then you have a point. But a bigger question is whether the speed limits are appropriate, I guarantee you more often than not someone going 90 on the highway and obeying proper procedure (slower traffic in right lane, stay right except to pass, etc.) is being safer than the petty little tyrant doing 55 in the left lane in the name of "safety". And that's what speed traps, red light cameras, speeding cameras, etc. are all about, right? Safety?
I actually had a Glendale, AZ cop (an idiot by the way) try to convince me that the city lost money on every ticket he wrote. Damn I hate it when people insult my intelligence like that.
