I never, ever smoke the tires, I DO get on the throttle rather quickly when needed and have a good deal of fun doing it. I never do it at an intersection, just at lights on a straight and always on two lane roads. Anything else is foolhardy and could cause a crash. If there is a remote chance that a cop is anywhere around, I don't do it. If it IS a cop and he wants to race, that's another story.
