The Avenger is now a sedan!? Sometimes you wonder what manufacturer's are thinking.

I love my perfect driving record the last 15 years and I don't want to jepordize it. Gas is already way too high and don't want higher insurance rates to boot.

This weekend the wife & I are visiting my folks, Mom was celebrating her 80th, in a retirement community north of Milwaukee. My sister asks me for a ride. Now my sister has to be one of the most insecure drivers I have EVER seen: won't drive in the snow even if we just get a dusting, doesn't drive the freeways, gets nervous when it rains, the type of driver you just dread getting behind so I know this will be fun. After she hits the bathroom & tells her 'significant other' to make sure he leaves me out of the will if she dies, she falls into the passenger seat: "gee, this car is so low".
Pull out of Mom & Dad's driveway, turn off traction control & just mash the pedal. 2 blocks & a haze of blue smoke later she's screaming in the car & I swear I've still got fingernail marks on my dash. Two solid black lines down the asphalt forever. I proceeded to drive a ways down the road, turned around & head back to "Serenity Acres". As I approach the driveway again I see one of my folks' neighbors, who has an Avenger in his driveway (& who is 90, count 'em, 90 years old) start walking towards the car. He waves me over & asks "just what the hell kinda car is this?"
After about 10 minutes of car talk he leaves, my future brother-in-law asks me "is she dead?" & my folks say that nothing like this ever happens here; they're sure the neighbors will be asking who that was.
Ahhhh, a wonderful weekend.............

During the day I'm usually reserved, but I stay out late a lot, and I always floor it then. My problem is that cars that pass me, I generally consider a challenge. Thats probably why I have had 2 tickets in the 2 years I have been driving.
