I don't think there is any room for that old style spring compressor, the front springs require that you use mercedes benz special spring tool, it costs $500 but you can rent it from several websites on the net. trust me it's worth the extra time in waiting for the correct tool.

try searching the mbz forums, as many people there have done this mod.
