So I just finished up my daily run at a local park, while heading back to my car I noticed my left front bumper was all white and scrapped up. I immediately asked people in the area what happened, a lady came forward and told me some young girl was trying to parallel park her car in front of mine while talking on her cell phone!!! Apparently she backed into my bumper, got out looked at the damage, then sped off. No one was able to get a Tag number. It was just three months ago I had my front bumper fixed after some lady at my work ran into it with her big stupid truck, now this.
The sad thing, is June 15th will be the one year anniversary of purchasing the car new and in that time I have been door dinged twice and hit in the front bumper twice. Like all of you I am extremely cautious where I park my car but it just does not pay to have nice things around inconsiderate people! It almost makes me want to sell my Crossfire and buy a POS I don't have to worry about, like everyone else in this stupid city!
I guess now I have to make a special morning trip to the body shop to see how much this is now going to cost me to fix.
Feel bad for anyone who is obliged to live and work in a city. You just have no control of your property when you use public facilities. My boy has to deal with the same thing and he can't have anything thats nice cause someone will screw it up...its the anonimity and city attitudes that make cities unliveable...I could not handle it myself.
