Some one did damage to my S 430 by keying the drivers side on June of last year camera was not working then I had to get fixed and she has not been back.

Apparently she backed into my bumper, got out looked at the damage, then sped off. No one was able to get a Tag number. It was just three months ago I had my front bumper fixed after some lady at my work ran into it with her big stupid truck, now this.
The sad thing, is June 15th will be the one year anniversary of purchasing the car new and in that time I have been door dinged twice and hit in the front bumper twice. Like all of you I am extremely cautious where I park my car but it just does not pay to have nice things around inconsiderate people! It almost makes me want to sell my Crossfire and buy a POS I don't have to worry about, like everyone else in this stupid city!
I guess now I have to make a special morning trip to the body shop to see how much this is now going to cost me to fix.

We have many cars, all very nice like the crossfire, 3 are show cars. I keep my 99 Grand Prix GTP with 126k miles in good condition, but I have designated it our so called Beater. Its still nice, but has the usual chips, dings, etc from being the everyday car. If we go to a concert, airport or major event thats the one I always take. The rest are nice weather (when possible) cars and though like the rest of you, I try to park carefully, but even my Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo got hit on the bumper one day and I was parked a long way away from everyone at a work parking garage. Some folks just don't care....

"Folks don't care" - para-pharse - did any of you see the video of the elderly man that got hit and no one did anything for over a minute until the police came - folks stood there and watched/looked/gawked/kept walking/driving - at least 6 cars drove around him to avoid him on the street but kept going...one guy in a moped just circled him...
..are you kidding that folks don't care - for God's sake we're talking about our beloved Crossfires here and folks dinging them or worse - look how 'we' as a society treat someone who got innocently hit by a car and folks were just apathetic...the society has become 'pathetic' - or has been and now we notice...
it's a shame that we'll value a car more than a human...
Okay - off the soap box and done w/my 2-cents...thanks all!

My car got hit when I was parked at school I usually park in the garage but it was closed that day just my luck someone backs into my car going pretty quick because it left my quarter panel with a dent the size of a kitchen plate the person ran off and left no information I was so pissed! And when i got it fixed the paint is totally shot and dull as hell! The guy I took it to moved his shop about an hour away from my house so i have'nt got chance to fix it. It pisses me off that people are so inconsiderate and that no matter how careful I am some dumbass will still **** it up!
(sorry if i rant but my car now looks like a crap bucket)
No no cameras and the school claimed no liability even though i wouldnt have been hit if i was parked in the garage(which they had closed that day) but its already done now so im just trying to work on getting it fixed to look as close as possible to before it was hit. I got the dent fixed fine but the paint job was horrible im still trying to get in touch with the guy who did it. It was someone one of my friends new and swore by. But I guess you get what u pay for.
I'll join this rant just to send it to the front of the forum. I feel the same way. To most of the world a car is transportation - to many of us Crossfire owners it is a "work of art". I park 10+ spaces away from everyone, too. I pick a spot where the odds are the passenger side will end up next to me. I'm tempted to park even farther and take two places, but then I figure some airhole with dozens of closer spots to pick from will take exception anyway and key me.
I parked a good 15 spots away from everyone at my son's hockey game last spring. When I got out the lot was full - they had baseball games that night at the park too. There was a truck next to me and when I got home I noticed a little crease where his door would have hit. I can see it fron 10' away but everyone else in my family has to get about 6" to see it.
Does ****-rententive have a hyphen. DAMN RIGHT IT DOES!!!!

our parking lot at work had camera's on it and i always park at the very end becuase everyone else is to lazy to park out. when i first started parking out there people were like what do you think you're better than us. i told them no, of course. i as just parking out there to prevent me getting pissed off and kicking someones a$$ when my car got a ding. by parking out there around 10 spots away from everyone someone would have to go out of their way to ding/scratch me and there would be no doubt about who did it.
I fantasize about mounting explosives in the doors and fenders and rigging the explosives in such a way that they will go off if the car is door dinged. Of course the resulting damage would be far greater than a ding but still........
There are some nice fold up orange traffic cones on the market today that you could keep in the trunk and use. Goggle it. But I'm not sure the local "tank drivers" much care about plowing into plastic any more than plowing into your car or a crosswalk full of kids (yap yap yap .... cell phones should be banned). Clods will be clods. For about $80 you could also get a scrolling text license plate. Display a scrolling message that reads: "STAY BACK 10 feet. Hidden camera on-board, violators will be prosecuted", or something a little bit nastier.
Install a bumper cam front and rear (available on the net and in RV stores). Rig it to activate when a motion detector goes off so you can record the plate number of the nasty offender.
