Default Re: Twice in Three Months!!!

20 years ago (last summer) I drove our 4 year old "Red" Honda CRX to Cedar Point Amusement Park (where they tell you where to park). I had purchased it brand new and loved that little car, it never had even one door ding during the whole time we had it. So when I pulled in the spot I parked about 6" away from my friends car so the people on my drivers side would have about 5' of door clearance between us.
As luck would have it, a Chrysler mini "Church" van pulls in next to me, with the "sliding door" and a 1/2 dozen "large" teenagers get out. I'm satisfied my baby is safely parked and we proceed to enter the park for a day of fun on a hot August weekend.
When I return about 7 hours later, I find the mini van gone, but you can very plainly see where one of the "sweaty" Fat Asp teenagers had planted themselves "leaning" against the drivers side 1/4 panel of my Honda, and actually "buckled" it.
I was furious, but after using a toilet plunger, most of the dent came out. But there was still a 6" long "vertical" crease remaining, (which I could see everytime I looked in the outside mirror.)
I never felt the same about the car after that. (I know it's crazy) but it was just like the car had been "violated" by someone, and it just didn't have that new car "mystic" for me it once had.
I traded it not long after that for an Accord Coupe (we needed a back seat for my Daughter anyway) but it just wasn't as much fun as the little CRX.
People simply have no respect for anybody elses property. My Daughter knew by the age of two, that you don't lean, sit, or even touch another person car, unless they tell you it's OK. Even then, it's not a good idea.
