Default Looking for more storage in hatch?

During all the years I have been driving, I like to carry a certain amount of items in case of emergency, not just mine most of the time, but to help others as well. Putting items I wanted in the Crossfire looked tacky. So to the wood scrap pile I pulled out some 1 x 4 boards. Did some measuring, nailing, gluing, & painting, I came up with this. The center supports are located so any of the jack componets can be removed without much trouble. I had some small pieces of auto carpet left over from a job and just layed them in the compartments to minimize noise. I put a foam rubber strip all along the top so the original cover will lay flat and secure. So far, driving it a few days, I have not noticed any noise or rattles. A 'false bottom' is what I call it. To do over again, I would make a few minor changes, but you get the idea.

Sorry for the bad pics, but the sun was in the way when I had this apart today.
