The wipers can be a PITA to remove but basically you need to hold the wiper close to the base near the nut you just removed and wiggle back and forth gently and eventually they'll come off. Patience will pay off. If you still have trouble you can squirt a little WD40 to loosen the base of the wiper a bit.
