I'm not sure, but an automobile A/C compressor is more on the order of .5 ton. And it takes I think 6-10 HP to run it.

TVT can probably shed some light on this:

Dyno run A/C ON vs. Dyno run A/C OFF.

The laws of thermogodammits are harsh.

BUT, I don't know...
