Here are some pictures of my SL55 intake setup - more comparison photos in my gallery and write-up, just click on the link in my signature.

The SL55 intake, like the factory intake, draws in air from outside the engine compartment. - I also like the fact that the air filters are not exposed to bugs, road grime and water. There is also the option of using K&N filters.

All of the after-market intakes do a great job. All you really need to do is remove the restrictions designed into the factory setup. (radiator support and y-pipe) Perhaps this is how Chrysler was able to "scale down" the HP rating to 330HP? when you look at MB pictures - these restrictions (other then the Y-pipe) are not there.

I figured if the SL55 intake makes the HP for the V8 AMG supercharged motor - it will provide the HP on the V6 AMG motor.
