It was restricitve enought to make my car slow as ****, and put me through a bunch of headaches.

I dont think this intake at the back of the engine bay is a good idea. Essentially when dynoing with the hood open i have no doubt it will make more power. But as soon as the hood shuts its a different ball game. And the area near the back cowl is actually separated from being able to pull air from behind the cowl. Look closely when the hood shuts its completely sealed off.

Feel free to correct me if im misled.
Yeah sorry I didnt type manifolds, You are correct about the sealed off, But here is what I do not understand many test have been done on the SLR and similar C32 set ups the best and coldest place to get air is not in front of the engine but infact where our battery sits, having the air flow over from behind our hood, THE question is how do we get to that. From what I can tell, I know there is a difference taking off from first to second (of coarse when the car is still kinda cold) but none the less a gain. I will leave it on for awhile see if anything changes Im not looking to get major HP gains from the intake, Nore do I want to get rid of the engine cover. Although the black out needs wings intake looks very clean. Might be the next route.
