ok so replaced the pan today, the 04 e320 merc one fit prefectly fine. i didn't take out the engine like the service manual said. i have a engine hoist so i just hooke it up to the hook on the top of the engine. unbolted fromt engine mounts and raised it as much as i could. just till the intake pipe touched the firewall. give it plent of room to take out the oil pan.


car started right up after a year, valve ticking for a while but was ok after. i have yet to take it around the block after i get the rims fixed and good tires on them (2 of them blew out). i used the mobile one 0 w40 oil.
