Yes, I feel the same way about the thing just sitting there. Unfortunately, there are no remote antennas for the V1. There are definitely better detectors out there for the ultra stealthy setup.
I don't think police care about seeing a radar detector, unless you are driving in an area where radar detectors are illegal.
