Hi,

Anyone has a problem with the electric thermo fan staying on for a long time after the car has been switched off? I parked the car last night about 10pm and this morning at 10am the fan was still running.

Checked with an MB technical representative, and this is a known problem in some cars where the control module is affected by moisture, due to it's location within the bumper. Doesn't look like the xfire has the unit located there, so not sure if it is the same issue.

It's going to send my battery flat! Argh!

I tried disconnecting the fan at the first available connector, and reseating it, which made no difference. Fan started again as soon as I reconnected it. Cable runs over to what looks like a control unit, which is bone dry.

Help! Going to call the dealer tomorrow.
