I am interested to see who out there has installed an after market car alarm, but more particularly a motion sensor alarm, that detects movement outside the car. Also, what can people tell me about the standard alarm, I know the basics but any info. would be helpful.

This year I am renting a college house with two of my buddies which is in a decent part of town. By decent for where I go to school I mean, semi-industrial with a mix of middle-class and run-down housing. I am worried for the safety of my car since I will be forced to park on the street out front, as there is no driveway. Therefore I have been looking into motion sensor alarms that will trigger when someone gets too close to my Crossfire.

So far I have looked at Crime Guard brand models. You have to purchase a basic package with the alarm and then purchase an additional package with the mod for the exterior motion sensors.

Has anyone had experience with this?! Any other people make this mod? Please help, thanks in advance.
