a manual SRT would not be faster than the current SRT. Given all the same specifications except for transmissiong the autostick would win in a straight line drag race. The design and engineering of the autostick transmission is far superior to 99% of all "manual" enthusiast's driving skill. It takes human error out of the equation and replaces it with well defined and executed shift points. The fact that taking an SRT down a 1/4 mile starts by putting it in 1st gear and hit the go button and letting it accelerate through the gears on its own beats out a manual transmission. So if you are a "purist" as some would say then stick with the manual tranny, retractable wing, and N/A engine. Priorities are everything lin life, if they aren't in order then chaos ensues.

P.S. I do not consider myself a "purist", but I do not drive an SRT and I do drive a manual, base coupe. Take it for what you will. Research wins out over assumption everytime.
manual trans weighs less than the autostick
gets better milage
and drag racing in a auto is just not fun, i mean a freakin 90 year old lady can hit the gas and hold on to the steering wheel
auto trans lose more hp from motor to wheels than the manual
