Try to go to your local BMW dealer, go to service, and take a whiff of their Lederlotion. This is an odd smell, but I feel it is very german. When applied to the Crossfire, I certainly got a strong european new car smell. Zaino Z9 and Z10 may also be the sort of smell you are looking for, even more so than the BMW Lederlotion. Definitely look into andrew's products because they are more commonly used in dealerships than the "consumer products" I mentioned.
