I always use the microfiber wash mits with the "fingers" on them...I think they work great and hold a ton of water and soap which I like. Last week I stopped to get a sponge and they were out of them, so I picked up a white chenille sponge. BAD idea. I washed the sponge before using it, but when I was done washing the car, I had a black convertible top that was now COVERED in white lint. What a mess. Good thing I had a lint roller for my dress shirts to get it all off. In the garbage the sponge went. Don't make this mistake.
