Default Re: SRT6 Dyno

I was able to put the Crossfire on a different dyno on Saturday to attempt to help 240M3SRT trouble shoot the odd spike in HP and A/F we saw the last time we dyno’ed the cars. I am finding that the read outs can change fairly dramatically with the different settings of the dyno operator. I see from my first time out that the dyno operator ran the Dyno in MPH apposed to RPM, I also see that he had it set at STD opposed to SAE. I found a difference in the “smoothing” factor as well from 3 to 0. The first operator ran the car up to 150mph on the dyno where the second operator just punched it in 3rd and basically had it up to 120.

The 2nd dyno run was a little hotter outside, 96 compared to 89 so I netted a different result. I have attached 2 graphs to look at. The first is the 3 runs from 8/23/08 and the second is a graph of the best fun from 8/15/08 with the best run from 8/25/08 in the same format that the first dyno operator mapped out. As you can see, there is a 7hp difference in just the format and another 7hp difference between the 2 runs. I guess that is what 7 degrees will do??

Let be the first to say that I have no idea what all this means, other than the A/F spike I believe is a factor of the first dyno operator and is not related to the cars.
