Honestly, what kind of 16 year old can afford the purchase price of a $17,000+ car AND the insurance completely on their own? I know I couldn't 7 years ago.
Your signature says it all by bragging that you are the youngest SRT-6 owner and asking us to prove you wrong... Who says you don't act with the same attitude to your peers at school?
My advice is to keep the cool car for the weekends/prom and buy a beater for the ride to school, or to grin and bear the torment of your peers.
Wow, I never expected to see this at crossfireforum.org. I've had the pleasure of talking to smokey on many occasions and this kid is the real deal. He's been salavating at the mouth to have one of these cars for a couple of years. He's been a great asset to this forum for quite some time. Your opinion is completly off base and insulting.
Sorry Smokey don't take this the wrong way, but at first I agreed with many people that an SRT6 for a 16 year old was a mistake, not because it would mean your spoiled, but because it's a very powerful car. Especially for a 16 year old. You continue to be the exception though. After the conversations we've had I aquired a lot of respect for this kid. When I get another crossfire (3rd at age 24) I won't have any problem with this kid joining us for a g2g.
bigbengt67 you seem to be the one that's jealous. Why don't you just lay off and be happy that someone has had the fortune of owning one of these great cars before they hit 18.
