i don't understand why ppl cut the bumpstops, this sort of saves the shocks cuz shocks blow out when they bottom out, the bump stops stop the shocks from bottoming out.

i always leave the bumpstops as they r when dropping cars, there is still plenty of travel.

but am i thinking wrong that bumpstops will stop a shock from bottoming out, eventually saving the shock?
