Springs First And Then Shock Absorbers?
Hi there! I have a 2005 Roadster Limited; I would like to lower it a little bit; I am going to buy the Eibach ProKit set springs; can I leave on the original shock absorbers? If not, what absorbers do you suggest? Koni or Eibach or what? Thanks again. Riccardo
O.K.... If you use the stock shocks you can cut 1/2 inch off of the bump stops. Do a search and you'll find plenty of information on this.
I installed the Koni adjustable dampers when I installed my Eibachs. I just really like them. You have to drive my car to know what I'm talking about. I highly reccomend them. It's a smooth ride not harsh at all but tight in the turns... like it's on rails. VERY responsive but doesn't rattle your teeth.

easy to do...can be trimmed down with a utility knife.

i don't understand why ppl cut the bumpstops, this sort of saves the shocks cuz shocks blow out when they bottom out, the bump stops stop the shocks from bottoming out.
i always leave the bumpstops as they r when dropping cars, there is still plenty of travel.
but am i thinking wrong that bumpstops will stop a shock from bottoming out, eventually saving the shock?
