Default It’s not real

I found 3D model of a Crossfire on the web the other day, and since then I’ve been fiddling with it so that I can do more than apply solid flat colours to it. Here’s my first attempt. I started with a bright orange so I knew what was right and what was left to do. It kind of evolved into the foolishness that you see before you.

I did a render and then passed a Photoshop filter over it to make it look less like an "out of the can" image. I’ll do a more expensive (ie time and processor intensive) render when my main machine is free, and I’ve possibly added some scenery.

One reason for this exercise is for me to visualise ideas for a respray - it’s cheaper to muck about with a digital image than with the real thing!

When time permits, I’ll post some of my working renders to a gallery so you can see how it’s progressed.
