Squirrel Crusher makes a very good point.
If we got just 2 more orders for hoods, and this being the first week of OCTOBER, it wouldn't surprise me if AAR couldn't get the 1st. batch of hoods shipped out before Christmas.

Over the weekend I found out that someone in the AMC club that I belong to has one of AAR's "fiberglass" hoods on their 1970 AMX. I've seen the car a half a dozen times, and I never knew it wasn't an original steel hood.

Another forum member brought up a very good point. What do you do with your old hood? I told her they would make an excellent "Art Deco" conversation piece as a "Wall Hanging".

Another point to think about. If AAR see's that it's profitable to produce the custom "scooped" hood for the Crossfire, they might be receptive to producing a "stock" version of the Crossfire hood as well, "hood strakes" and all. While possibly being lighter than the original steel design, being "fiberglass" it would also lend itself quite nicely to any home XF remodeling projects some of you may have in the back of your mind.
