While it may not have individual bogey counters, it does have a bogey counter and will indicate all radar sources. Why is this useful ? We have a couple of aspiring cops that believe their clever by sitting under digital radar signs. Most folks familiar with the area will pick up the radar sign from afar and think it's just the sign and keep going. With the V1 one can see that there's both a K and Ka band, so you know that it's not only the digital radar sign (K band), but also the long arm of the law (Ka band around here) waiting to extend their hand into your wallet.
I've had my V1 for about five years, and it's worth it's weight in gold. It's foolish to claim their a waste of money, anyone that's had one for any length of time can attest to their effectiveness.
No it won't save you 100% of the time. Instant on radar, and laser are particularly challenging, because unless it's targeted at someone in front of you (which is why it's a good idea to have a "test rabbit" ahead of you if possible) you're pretty much done for. I pick up radar around corners, and on an open freeway/highway I can pick up a fuzz from up to a mile away. The arrows are also very useful.
I'm starting to see a few of the CHP's using laser out here, so it's time to invest in a laser jammer...err I mean parking assist device
