It seems like most of the cams available for these engines don't provide significant gains. Some cars benefit from certain mods more than others; part of it has to do with how conservative (a.k.a. stingy) the factory was in this area. It seems like swapping out a set of cams on these engines would be pretty straight forward, so I could live with only gaining 15-20 hp. However, the price makes it completely unreasonable for most of us. I guess if you were right on the edge of an 11 second run (or whatever your personal goal), it would be worth it.
