StarCar, not disbelieving, just a question. Very glad to see that it was the 1/4 mile. That means I can get under 11 also. On your slip, what is the measurement for speed? It looks like you were doing 16.2 kph.
Yes, I see that it is supposed to be 186.2kph. Congratulations!

StarCar,

No your right in line with some of the fastest we have. What we don't believe is your doing it with just a tune. So I'm sure you have some kind of aftermarket pulley, air intake, drag radials, and who knows what else. Methanol or any spray doesn't count just because it's not nitrous. Even if it's just spraying the intercooler.

The guys here putting down those numbers are close to sea level. What is your elevation? It make a difference, if you are say 3000' feet above sea level then that would translate to mid 11's at sea level. You get where were coming from. The opposite is true for negative sea level.

I'm glad you run it like you stole it. Congrats on the time. Welcome to the forum and please share as we do openly about our mods.

I checked out the thread on MB World that was referenced above.

The guy doing all the mods to his black 4 door 320 AMG sure is a gluton for punishment. If you take the time to read thru the entire thread (13 pages +) you will find he must have dropped a ton of money and effectively got nothing out of it. In fact, it doesn't seem that his car runs as good as it did before all the work.

I'm of the opinion that it isn't very easy to squeeze any big HP gains out of the XFire NA and SRT-6 engines in spite of everyone's wishes.

I guess he updated his dragtimes post, because it has pulley tune full exhaust, etc. Plus it was 59 degrees when he ran. I can see how he got that time.

Huh?? Some of us are already running in the 11's with more to be had from the motor. A lot of us are close to running 11's with just a few bolt on mods. I don't understand your logic here? I cut a full second off my 1/4 time with two easy mods!!

Probably is. In the UK the low grade is 95 and premium is 98 I believe. They do pay a little more per gallon than we do(about $8.00)

I believe SLK's are roughly 200lbs heavier than the Crossfire so it automatically has a .2 second handicap.

Well; if you count those of us that are at high elevations(and convert the times to sea level) I am in the 11's without any kind of spray as well.

MD we know for sure is all motor in the 11's. The graphite one from FL is also in the 11's but has methanol, not nos. Still spraying technically, but you can also say he's cooling the air like if he was at sea level. I believe he did make a pass in the 11's without spraying. Scouts honor Rob is a good sea level track away from putting his in the 11's on all motor, as with a handfull of others. I hope 11's don't become mundane because it's a huge milestone for our cars. Guys please go up to the tower and ask for the DA when you run the next time. They will have it, or shoot them for being nascar fans. Putting down an 11 sec pass in DA above 1200' is a killer pass. It does change by the minute but at least get a baseline every hour or so.

The DA was 4500 when I made my 12.39 @113.11(1.91 60') pass this last Saturday.
