Traction control does the same thing. BUT the way it does it is different.
The difference is our traction control works by braking the spinning wheel.
The LSD is great for sporty driving and getting the most power to the ground but for wet and icy conditions TC is hard to beat.
LSD will be great fun -personally like being able to control a slide and putting the rear end where I want it. Using the throttle to control the car instead of a nanny kicking in.
