i was running 380hp and it was made for more. if u install it correctly then it works otherwise it dont work to good. it works in cornering and straight line. for 400 buck u cant beat it. i sold my quaife and used the pg instead

basically it's a binding unit. when enough force is put on the plates it wedges itself in the carrier and jams the two wheels together.
I don't know about you guys but I don't want that product in my car, It most likely will ruin the rear end over time, and I sure don't want to fork out a couple grand to buy a new rear diff, when I'd be better off spending $2000 on a quaf unit.

Dealing with PGs in other cars I will not be buying one for this one.
it's too new of a product, I'de like to see how well it survives stop and go traffic in a busy city for 100,000 miles.

The PG unit has some years on it (2002 or earlier) and most importantly it is a copy of the unit that is available for Mercedes vehicles. Please look at the KLEEMANN units available for their cars (upgrades). www.kleemann.dk/site/main/accessories/lsd
If it is good for them (MB / AMG V8 & V12's) then maybe you might check them out. Works for me and the rear gear fluid is totally clean , no wear showing for me, gotta do the research.

The KLEEMANN Limited Slip Differential is available for all Mercedes-Benz models fitted with a "large housing" differential case. This means all models with V8-, V12-engine and the new SL 65.
V8 & V12 Mercedes-Benz models
Overflow of engine power is no good if it cannot be transferred into wheel traction. Therefore, KLEEMANN has developed a Limited Slip Differential (LSD) with a 60 percent locking mechanism, which means that the mechanical devise applies a 60 percent lock-up ratio between the two drive wheels. In contrast to a standard ESP-system a Limited Slip Differential (LSD) is a very sporty and high-performance approach to control wheel spin thereby improving the car's traction.
At no time will only one wheel receive all the engine's power, and by powering both drive wheels at the same time, the engine acceleration power is distributed more evenly, hence reducing wheel spin and in the end lowering acceleration times significantly.
Using the KLEEMANN Limited Slip Differential (LSD) gives an immediate result. Testing has shown that a Mercedes-Benz 55 AMG will drop as much as 0.3 second to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) with this modification alone!

Well if you guy's can wait a bit, Gary Peloquin is looking into making a real LSD for our cars. You can thank BLACKSRT-6 for sending down a rear differential for sizing and fitment.

another problem witht the Phantom grip is that it only works under load, it's not connected all the time so for auto cross where your changing direction, and geting off and on the throttle, this is not the way to go.
As for Kleeman, I bet they don't run this in thier auto-x track cars. this is just a cheap simple fix for guys who want to drag race on the street.
